About the event

A festive dinner with family recipes. Join us to celebrate the day with the good mood around the good food.

April 23rd is a Bayram in Türkiye when we gather with family and loved ones around a festive table. We take this opportunity to cook as guest chef a Bayram dinner with our favorite family recipes. Join us at Grey Space in the Middle for this three course, 100% plant-based dinner.

Tickets are 25€/p and reservation is required. Please send an email to reservations@thegreyspace.net to reserve your seat.

Bayram is the word for a celebration of both national or religious holidays. This dinner session fall on a Bayram and we are very happy to celebrate it together, experience connection and enjoy one another around a big table like we are a big family.

For Bayram special we will prepare some inherited family recipes which we always have during any Bayram dinner with family and loved ones.

On the menu: We start with aperitifs like olives, dates and Turkish flat bread "Pide".

Ezogelin soup: it is a hearty and delicious soup which is a very classic in Turkish culinary. We use only whole grains and fresh ingredients as our "Anne" (mum) does.

Hünkar Begendi: It is also known as Sultan's delight because it is so delicious. My "anane" (grany) used to make it only for family gatherings with my grandpa "dede". Because they both loved eggplants and also the look of the meal is so festive and elegant. Ragout prepared with home-made seitan, fresh tomato, long Turkish pepper and spices, served on smokey-creamy eggplant pure, drizzled with burnt paprika oil.

Kadayif: It is a common middle eastern dessert prepared with finely shredded filo dough baked in an aromatic syrup topped with crushed nuts. Don't worry about the calories or overwhelming sweetness, our version will be lightened up.

We wrap up the evening with long brewed Turkish tea since it is very traditional in our family.

Come and celebrate this Bayram with us either with your family or not. We will make you feel at home, promise!
